The end of the year is just about two weeks away. Two weeks!
It seems like the whole year in business, whether retail or service based, comes down to the last couple of weeks of the year. So, at the business channel, we’ve been doing some mulling about the year end…
Taxgirl contemplates her year end tax planning for businesses - and resolves to do better next year!
At Leadership Turn, we’re reminded that resolutions are just dreams – and for that reason, you should always have resolutions. If you’re searching for suggestions, Home Biz Notes offers guilt free resolutions (mmm, I hope chocolate is involved). And since everyone wants more money in the coming year than they had in the last. Yielding Wealth shares how to make it happen by resolving to save money in a way that is manageable — and doable.
Of course, with all of this in mind, we at the channel have some resolutions of our own this year:
1, Provide the best business-related content on the web imaginable. If you’re looking for it, chances are that you can find it on the business channel: marketing and branding, home business, interviews, social networking, women in business, freelancing, real estate - even virtual business.
2, Constantly introduce you to fresh new material – not just on our existing blogs but with new blogs, too. New on the scene for December are One Vote Matters (our business in politics blog) and My Organized Biz, helping you kick office clutter to the curb. And just recently, we introduced blogs about green business, project management, international business, nonprofits and young entrepreneurs.
3, Bring on the most energetic, knowledgeable writers in the businesses – like Benson Koh, who is now writing Digital Money World, Jean Murray who recently joined Small Business Boomers and Anne Wayman who hopped over from another channel to share The Golden Pencil with us.
4, Offer you ideas. Whether you’re just looking to get into the online game, figure out how to punch up your work life, work from home or start a new business, we have great suggestions.
5, Entertain as well as educate you. Business doesn’t have to be droll. It can be witty and fun and edgy.
6, Help you save time and money. Figuring out taxes, accounting, money management and productivity can be time consuming. We’ll deliver all of your financial goodies in 30 minutes or less, or it’s free. Okay, it’s free anyway, but you get the idea.
7, Engage you. We care what you think. We want to know what you have to say. We invite you to be a member of our community – it makes us all better.
So, what are you waiting for? Pick a business blog, any business blog – and resolve to start out the new year with us!
