My name is Susan Gunelius, and I am the author of b5media’s branding blog, Brandcurve, Disney travel blog, The Disney Traveler, and children’s toys, books and more blog, Play Library.
I spent over a decade working in the marketing field for some of the largest companies in the world including divisions of AT&T and HSBC. I’ve managed all aspects of branding, advertising and marketing campaigns as well as new product development initiatives, but my expertise lies in creative, production and copywriting. In fact, I teach an online course about copywriting through the Absolute Write University.
My corporate career was fast-paced, exciting and rewarding, but a few years ago, I left the corporate world to become a stay-at-home mother to triplets (yes, I said triplets). Now I work from home as a freelance writer. My business and marketing articles have appeared on Entrepreneur.com, MSNBC.com, FoxBusiness.com, WashingtonPost.com, Yahoo! Small Business and Yahoo! Finance. Additionally, my first two business nonfiction books, will be published in 2008 (Harry Potter: The Story of a Global Business Phenomenon and Kick-ass Copywriting in 10 Easy Steps are available now) with a third (Google Blogger for Dummies) scheduled for release in February 2009.
Through my freelance writing business, I added professional blogging to my resume. Currently, I write for Know More Media’s marketing blog, MarketingBlurb, and I am a contributing writer at Corporate Eye. Additionally, I write about marketing for Cox Communication’s Kudzu.com Small Business Success Center at Everyday Marketing. I also author a personal blog called Women On Business, and I am the Guide to Web Logs for About.com (a New York Times company).
Suffice it to say, life is very busy!
