Hi, my name is Shirley, but I seldom use it because I get the letters messed up most of the time and I have to go back and correct it. Most of the time it comes out Shirely… so, I simply go by SP. Can’t mess that up too badly. My aim is to show that there are more than a few positives to this aging thing. Actually, I’m basing Aging Fabulous on my mother. She’s the one who is fabulous in our family. I want to be just like her when I grow up.
My little corner of the world is just a wee bit north of Toronto which I’m still trying to get used to. At the moment, we have been here a grand total of 34 days. I live here at the moment with my husband and 24 year old daughter. My son decided that he can do just fine on his own without me. What is/was he thinking?? He’s only 26!

I can’t cook… or at least I pretend so that I don’t have to do it.
I don’t own enough closets. That might have something to do with my love of accessories and one reason why I now take care of Her Accessories . You can get sooo much more mileage out of your wardrobe if you learn how to accessorize.
I’m a big wuss when it comes to my kids. I was a completely different person until they came along. Kids just change you… what can I say.
I love to shop. I don’t think I could ever get tired of spending a day at the mall. Just ask Britt. She is my daughter and partner in crime over at Shopaholics Daily. Actually Britt says that she doesn’t like to shop at all. She goes with me simply to stop me from spending so much, but she’s the one who wrote the entry on buying her own submarine. What does that tell you??
I was the Beauty Guide at about.com for 6 years. I think that moving over to Aging Fabulous is just about right. Should keep me on my toes too.
I own way too many books and at the moment have no place to store them. This house came with a library that contained no bookshelves. What were they thinking??
**Update… I’m now taking care of Southern Byways. Yes, I have this thing for the south. Unfortunately, every couple of weeks, a new vacationer moves into my house!
And I can’t forget about Weary Parents. Being a Mom has to be one of the hardest jobs I have ever taken on. That’s why
I know about all the best bubble baths and beauty stuff. I’m big on pampering me ;) And I’m more than willing to share!
As I think of more quick facts I will add them. I’m sounding like I do nothing but shop or sit in front of a computer!
