I’m b5media business channel blogger and writer/editor of Franchise Pick. I publish several other blogs on the topics of entrepreneurship, franchising, marketing, and applied creativity, including FRANBEST (for prospective franchise owners), Franchisor Marketing (for franchise company executives), and Franchisee Marketing (for franchise owners) and Top New Franchises. Additionally, we build, host and maintain a number of blogs for business owners and individuals in a variety of industries.
I am the founder and President of IdeaFarm, the leading brand development and marketing services company focused on franchised growth. I’ve helped launch well over 100 new franchise expansion programs, and was part of the original team that launched the Auntie Anne’s Soft Pretzels franchise. I moved from Chicago to Lancaster County, PA when I joined Auntie Anne’s as their first Director of Marketing, and have lived here ever since.
I have an MFA in Creative Writing from Bowling Green State University, where I also taught English for a few years. I’m a former busker, and have played lucrative gigs at Orchestra Hall, the Civic Opera House, and other fine doorways throughout Chicago.
