Personal Reflections on VC

In a follow up to our official press release announcing b5’s funding with a more personal welcome Brightspark and JL Albright into the b5media family.

I know I speak on behalf of the other founders when I say that we are all very excited about this new partnership and look forward to the impact that this investment in b5media will have. It will allow us to expand in some exciting new directions and to build a strong company that will benefit our amazing team of bloggers.

We’ll speak more about some of the new directions over the coming weeks.

A quick thank you to all involved in the closing of this deal on all sides of the table and to our great team of bloggers who make b5media what it is today.

For a little more on this deal you might also like to check out the announcement post by Rick Segal from JLA for his perspective.

As I’ve said - we’ll talk more about the future in posts that will follow (we have a series of exciting things to share) but today we’ve got some serious celebrating to do and then need to get back on with the business of blogging.

Congrats! on your funding. It’s another step forward in establishing the credibility of social media. Don’t spend it all in one place
