b5 is currently in the midst of a datacenter / server move. Hopefully you shouldn’t have noticed. Or, if you have noticed, it’s that most of the sites aren’t going down as much!
In fact, about 70 of the sites have already been moved over. So far, there have been a limited number of glitches (we forgot to get stats up in the new DC, for example). However, all but 10 of the sites should be moved by today.
Great work to the entire team, especially Aaron and Sean, who’ve worked their butts off to pull off miracle after miracle. Thanks guys!

I was awake most of last night, so I saw the number of websites that were moved and the number of emails that had to be answered when problems arose…
I also want to say a huge well done and thank you for helping us escape the planet to Aaron and Sean… Nice work guys, have a cookie :)
Incidentally, who are we being hosted by now?
Hosted by WebNX: http://www.webnx.com/. Small company, new DC, really, really great service so far (I even have the owner’s cell number).
The personal touch goes a long way, huh? I guess that’s one of the advantages of working with a small company, if you need help then chances are you’ll be able to speak to the same person who set up your service in the first place and they’d have more of an understanding of your needs…
They seem like a great little company, although their website could use a little work… Then again I say that about a lot of sites, and it’s saying something considering the current state of mine!
Aaron rocks! I owe him so many drinks on the Blog Cruise
Hahaha!!!! Darren!
It was mostly Sean. He did the hard work. If it wasn’t for his super easy scripts that automated most of the process I would have spent 38 hours instead of 14.
No matter who gets the glory, I’ll still collect on those drinks! :p
Hey Aaron, did you remember to install the backup drives?
Well done, guys! You rock! :-D
It’s been a fun (and hectic) project. I’m glad I could be a part of it!
Sean
