Liz Strauss photo

Hi! I have so many names that my two older brothers say they don’t know what to call me. My friends call me Liz, Maribeth, Mb, Murbee, Murb, Lizzie, BethieMay, Murbelia, and several others. Feel free to pick one or make up your own. I’m the baby of the family and used to things like that.

Successful-Blog is where I spend most of my time. As you probably know, we’ve had a few homes before getting here, but we got here as fast as we could. AND b5media is where we’re putting down roots. Sometimes finding a home is “Goldilocks thing;” it takes a couple tries to get just the right fit.

I’m delighted and grateful to be here.

I come from the world of traditional publishing–you can’t get more traditional than textbooks. I’ve worked on every subject and for age group. There’s a good chance I worked on some book you used, if you went to school in the U.S., If you went in Canada, the U.K., or Australia, I probably know the people who made your books for you. There aren’t that many of us, so everybody knows everybody–it’s sort of like blogging networks that way.

Besides writing and blogging, I have passion for business and business strategy. I think I’m an adrenlin junkie when it comes to that kind of stuff. I love finding ways to make things happen.

Oh yeah, if you’re wondering about the ME in ME “Liz” Strauss, here’s an excerpt from the story about it on my personal blog.

My Initial Thoughts

ME WE ET Initials 3

I wonder if my parents knew when they gave me the initials ME that they were making a child who marched to a different drummer?

“Square peg in a round hole.” That’s what folks called it.

Even as a kid I knew it was a waste of time to put a square peg in a round hole. That was just plain common sense To make the peg fit, it wouldn’t be a square peg anymore. It would hurt the peg, and the hole wouldn’t like it.

Sometimes I wonder . . . what if I had my husband’s initials–WE?

Do you suppose our son wonders about this? . . . His initials are ET.
