I’m a journalist and blogger and have been writing since I can remember.
By day, I work as a web producer and reporter for a newspaper. I’m learning more web skills as I move more into the web production and assist in random reporting assignments.
By night, I write home design and fashion blogs. My siblings got me into home design. They’re both much older and as they decorated their homes, I learned the art of nesting. I love modern design with a vintage twist.
Fashion is in my blood. My mom would sew us clothing and I remember spending plenty of lazy summer afternoons reading YM. I was probably a fashion writer before I knew it. The fashion magazine I made in the 7th grade won best writing in my class.
I write Indie Style File, an ode to my love of the little known and non-Gap brands out there. On my own, I also write at All That & a, my blog of just about everything from fashion to green living to technology. My personal blog, Artichoke Dreams, has been chosen as an Alltop blog.
Other random facts about me: If you google search me, you’ll find a bunch of poetry. I also used to want to be a virologist, so you’ll find me reading medical mysteries. I also love to cook. My mom is a chef and I can spend hours watchnig Food Network, although I rarely use recipes.
