I’m Katelyn Thomas and I write the Stamping Mad blog for b5media. I have an entire closet full of rubber stamps and turned a spare bedroom into a craft room, so I’ve got plenty of hands on experience.
I live in an old farmhouse in a very rural area of Maryland that is going to be one of the most heavily developed counties in the United States over the next few years. It’s going to be quite a change!
My standard poodle, Rocky, and very bad scottie, Sophie, keep me company while I write. They’re very undemanding critics; give them treats and they’re happy. The cats, Sneezy, Little Face and Brother, were feral kittens when I bought the house. They refuse to spend more than a few minutes in the house, but have become quite tame. (No, I didn’t name them. I wanted to call Sneezy Azalea, because she loves being in the garden as much as I do, but the nieces and nephews won the name battle.)
I work full time in the library, part of the time as a branch manager and part of the time for our Small Business Information Center and other departments in the system. I love children’s programming.
I also blog for my personal blog, Free Holiday Ideas, and I publish Cecil Child, a parenting magazine for local residents.
