I’m Jul, the international dilettante. There is very little consistency to my resume, except in its variety. I have a variety of degrees (from cognitive science to international business), have held a variety of jobs (from swim coach to financial analyst), and have lived in a variety of places (from the American southwest to northern Italy to eastern Germany).

At the moment I’m based in Munich, Germany, where I spend as much time as possible painting, writing, traveling, and getting to know my fabulous new home city (I just relocated from Zurich). In addition to extolling the virtues of vegetarianism on Veggie Chic for b5media, I keep a personal blog called This non-American Life, where I muse about expat life in Munich, my travels, and anything else that’s on my mind. My newest blog is b5’s Europe String, where I give tips about traveling Europe on a budget (something with which I have a lot of experience).
