From my office window at home, I can see at least 10 kinds of birds and even more flowers, shrubs, and trees. It’s a wonder I actually get any work done with all the cool stuff to look at just beyond my computer screen.
I’ve taken the honest route to self-employment: The School of Life. After getting a degree in French, I tried every imaginable job from lifeguard to eBay reseller and discernment counselor to cosmetologist (okay, I made that last one up). Anyway, I learned a ton and then I decided to forge a path for which no one was willing to write a job description.
Inspired Home Office is absloute fun for me because I get to work with other folks who are self-employed and who’ve taken the alternative route in life. A lot of times, they just can’t get traction in business because their office is (and they’ve admitted to this) a shambles.
I’ve been there. And I learned that even though I couldn’t see a way out of the overwhelming mess, several options were available. Over time, I learned to take them. My job is to help really cool people discover the same things I did so their great business can thrive.
My partner of 2+ years and I live on a flower farm in Oregon with our cat and three turtles. For fun we watch birds, travel, and veg out with the paper on weekends. We own a TV, but we don’t turn it on so if you’ve seen any good commercials lately I like to hear about them.
My website has great free information if you want ideas and support for your office. Check it out and let me know what you think!
