Just a few housekeeping notes. First, we’re testing out some new ad units over the next few days, so feel free to let us know if things look weird, out of place or like there are too many ads. Ultimately we’re trying to find the right balance between some of the ad networks we’ve been approved for and some of the more “typical” blogger ad offerings (chitika, adsense, etc).
Also, we snagged a new dedicated server this morning. We’ll try and get blogs across without any hiccups, but if you happen to see a blog offline, give it a few minutes and it will likely be up. Again, if you see anything awry, drop us a line to guys@b5media.com.

[…] The guys over at b5media are making a few infrastructure changes on their network. They are testing out some new ad placements and trying to find a happy medium between some of the ad networks they have joined and more traditional advertising like AdSense and Chitika (Referral Code). They are also moving their blogs to a dedicated server, so, if you see any hiccups, drop them a line at guys@b5media.com. […]
You are doing great Jeremy… Getting a new server is a cool idea, but be prepared to handle a lot of problems too.
Nandini, don’t worry. I used to do high-end server stuff for a living. We should be okay. And we’ll definitely be better off than where we are now :)
Then I am sure things will be a breeze.
People at my datacenter gave me headache for almost a week.
Is it wise to put all your blogs on a single server? From both a SEO and risk managemnet perspective, I’d be spreading the network out over a few VPS accounts.
