I’m So Desperate
Okay, I’ll admit it. I watch too much TV. I blame the fact that the new shows this season are just so good I feel bad not watching them. Like I’m doing the directors and writers and artists a disservice. I guiltily admit that I watch Surface, Commander in Chief, E-Ring, Threshold, Supernatural and during commercials I watch Freddie and Hot Properties (but, I say overly defensively, only during commercials).
In addition, I gladly watch decent shows from previous seasons, including Crossing Jordan, Las Vegas, Medium and even (horror of horrors) Desperate Housewives!
I can’t justify the habit. I can’t hide in the closet anymore. I’m coming out. I enjoy Desperate Housewives!
Now, then, I don’t enjoy it quite enough to write the new blog we’re launching called Desperate Blog, but damn it I enjoy it enough to read the blog and watch the show!
I’m sick and I need help.

another tv series addict…at least I know that I’m not alone :-)
Shows I don’t want to miss atm include Commander in Chief (Season 1), Charmed (Season 8) along with “classics” like CSI (NY, Miami), The Simpsons (can’t ever get enough of it), etc etc
So I guess we could form a club “TV show addicts anonymous”…hello, I’m Ingo, and I’m a TV show addict ;-)

Srivs: Yeah, but this one seemed like a nice play on words so it got past the filter :)
My only gripe is that we won’t see the 2nd series here until February next year (like Lost, which just happens to be on the same channel), so I cant read the blog because I don’t want to spoil things :-)

You are right,,the new shows just rock…I cant stop watching TV..I Love My Name is Earl and Chris Rock is good too..Home, Super Natural etc are not bad either.
What’s not to like about a well written show that features very good looking people?
Have a look at “Dead Like Me”. It tries hard to be as quirky as Desperate HW and Six Feet Under, but is not bad when lying on the couch with a packet of Oreos.
Rob - Dead Like Me is one of my favorite shows! Agreed that it tries to emulate other popular shows, but occasionally it’s rather brilliant in its own right.

I fall in and out of love with TV. Sometimes I get a grip on a show and just can’t leave it alone. The first couple of seasons of Surreal Life had me hooked. Nothing like watching Vanilla Ice and Erik Estrada freaking out.
Oh, or the absolute best was the seasons with Ron Jeremy and Tammy Faye. Oh my God that was funny…
Desperate about Desperate Housewives I am not but I have been totally arrested by Arrested Development and am mourning the shows slow demise, thank heavens for the series DVD’s I guess.
my wife cant get enough of Desperate Housewives too…As for me, Im into Smallville now with Lois Lane heating up the screens ! Its hard to just blink
You should watch The Office starring Steve Carrell. He is so funny and the series are really good. :)
Hey Jim and Pam, I love watching The Office as well as Desperate Housewives, they are both really good shows. I had a look at your website link too and there’s heaps of hilarious pics, I found myself grinning from ear to ear hehehe.
