It’s amazing how fast news becomes old news in the blogging world. However we at b5media wanted to say goodbye to The Blog Herald.
Duncan built this site over a period of 3 years. He poured a tonne of time and effort into it and recently made the decision to sell. The buyers were BlogMedia. We all hope it finds a good home there.
Congrats to Dunc and to the BlogMedia team on a nice sale, and we’re sad to see one of the larger sites go.

Nooooooooo. TON…he poured a TON of time into it
Nope, I’m Canadian. It’s tonne. And even worse, I’m French-Canadian, whereby it’s DEFINITELY ‘tonne’ :)

Jeremy,
Thanks for the well wishes. It’s been great working with Duncan and Aaron on this. We hope to maintain the high standards that Duncan set for this publication. We wish you all the best of luck moving forward.

yeah, yeah, I know the Canadian spelling, but it’s so much longer, so much more drawn out. Think of the energy you could save if only you wrote “ton”
Think of the energy you could save if you didn’t argue about it. :-)
Yep, well done to Duncan. I’ve a feeling they’re going to struggle a little at first to get that personality component that Duncan put into it. I think they may have to go outside and get named writers to do specific “columns”. That may be the only way they’re going to surpass Duncan’s recognizable (and invariably mispelt) voice. :-)
May want to check that BlogMedia Link too. I have no idea who those guys are.
It should be blogmedia.biz
Garrh, fixed.
Thanks for the kind words Jeremy. We’re looking forward to moving forward with Blog Herald.
And John, we’re not going “outside” ;) We have lots of talent inside the network for this…

Best wishes to Duncan and to the new owners of The Blog Herald!
(And to all who remain here at b5!)
Good luck to Duncan and all that he does in the future, lets just hope that the new owners do just a good of a job that he did
