One of the great things about being a fast-growing blog network is that people just want to join us. But what’s the best way is to go about it? Here’s a little advice on how we work that can help you if you are interested.
1. New Channel Opportunities
From time to time, b5media launches multiple blogs, particularly when we’re looking at moving into new vertical marketplaces. Keep an eye out at the b5media blog for these opportunities when they arise.
2. Vacancies
For new writers, opportunities arise across our existing blogs. b5media primarily offers these positions internally but we do advertise sometimes. You can find the most recent b5media openings for our current blogs posted at the Problogger Job Board. Details as to whom you should contact for each position are available on each ad. Please contact the Channel Editor specified for the job in the ad.
3. Pitch Us!
If you have a great idea for a blog that we are missing in one of our channels, or you are incredibly passionate about a topic that we currently cover, we would love to hear from you. Of course, there aren’t nearly enough blogging positions to offer everyone a position but sometimes you just never know when it comes to timing. Most of our channel editors keep a list of people who have expressed an interest of writing for b5media, so if vacancies arise, you could be contacted in relation to a position. Please note that generally we do not accept existing blogs into b5media. That said, we occasionally consider applications for existing blogs to join b5media on a case-by-case basis, and where that site has outstanding traffic or influence within the blogosphere. Should you have an influential blog, at least 6 months old, that you want to bring to b5media, contact our Content Manager, Christina Jones.
