Channel Reorganization

Every 6 months or so we take a look at our channel organization and do some tweaks.

As part of our recent management meetings we mapped out our most recent reorg. Nothing too drastic this time. Mainly we are moving all of our previous Personal Development blogs into more suitable channels.

We’ll also be relabelling our Blogging channel as a Team Blogs channel later this week.

So yeah, just a minor reorg :-)

If you guys are “reorganizing” blogs and channels the same way you “reorganized” a co-founder right out of the company, does that mean you’re going to be canning some b5media bloggers?

Dan, none of the bloggers were let go. We simply moved them to a better channel.

Personal Development reorg makes sense as it seemed more of a Misc. channel than anything else. That said, I wish its dismantlement had been the object of a post, like the Blogging channel just did (unless I missed something?).

It’s always interesting to know the reasons behind moving a blog to a different channel, but more than that - it would help to know where they went :)

ouch! this implies some channels are better than others.

Well,yes…Just Make Money Online makes more sense and will getter traffic in Business, for example.

It’s not that some channels are better, but that some are better fits :)
