Another day, another blog you might as well say, but I get the honour of announcing this one because it goes straight to my heart as somebody with an interest in Linux but who really hasn’t got much of a clue past installing Fedora Core 4 on my system and wasting 2 weeks trying to get MythTV to work with absolutely no success what so ever: New Linux User.

Jon Watson joins the b5media team with a really good Linux pedigree to show n00bs like me a thing or to about the GNU answer to Windows hell.
Jon’s currently working with the Cameron Reilly and Mick Stanic over on The Podcast Network hosting the GNU/ Linux User Show, and also writes about tech for Jurgle, as well as still finding time to maintain his own blog: Tales from the Motherboard.
For more on Jon check out his post here.
Why is Jon joining b5media? for more money to spend on beer, a man close to my heart :-)

NOW THAT’S MY KINDA GUY!!!!
wait, that sounded wrong…
Does anybody actually know anything about this Linux thing? I’d really appreciate a hand now that I have this blog thing and everything…
Sounds good, I’ve started reading your blog already…
I did have a go at installing RedHat9 a while ago, managed to get it up and running, and eventually worked out how to get a net connection going. I pretty tech savvy, but it was a struggle to get everything working straight away, so I blog for linux noobs is a great idea.
Hope the effort gets the reqards…
