b5media is really excited to be launching a new music channel, which will cover a wide range of genres, geographic locations, bands and interests. We’re looking for writers who have a keen interest and engaging knowledge of specific topics and aspects within the music industry.
We will be looking to cover the emerging music scene in various locations such as Toronto, London UK, New York.
We will be looking to cover various genres and categories such as: acoustic rock, British invasion and influence, classic albums, hip hop, rap, indie rock, music industry news, online music services, the indie experience (from a band’s perspective), pop, Top-40 and the world of guitar playing.
We will also be looking to cover specific bands who are newsworthy and blogworthy such as U2, the Beatles and Justin Timberlake.
Hopefully, this gives anyone who is interested an idea of the direction we’re headed.

Well, despite that both 451Press and b5media started to advertise for music bloggers on the same day (or, wasn’t 451 first?) .. I’m sure there is enough room for 2 good networks to cover the music industry! It’s hard to compete with the emerging MySpace music scene (imo) . which is one reason I’ve put my own music blog into hybernation until 2008 … So ..I hope you guys leave something left for us little guys by the end of the year ..
Good Luck!
I have sent my application, thank you for advertising the position and for your time.
I sent an application today as well. I’m just surprised to see that b5media didn’t already have a music category already up and running. Hopefully I can participate in this new position.
It looks like there were two launched the same day. But from what I can tell, one seems to be more geared to bands, while the other is geared to genres.
Definitely room for both.
My application is in! Can’t wait to hear back, this would be rockin’.

I agree with Hart! There are so many talented writers that there’s actually a need for more networks to be sure to highlight them all.
