It’s about time! The b5media Science and Health Channel has an astronomy blog - Astronomy Buff. I don’t know how we could have called ourselves a proper science and health channel without one.
Tony Darnell, pilot and Riverdance lover, will lead us all into space and, for once, we’re not just talking about cyberspace. Whether you’ve been fascinated by astronomy since childhood or are new to the way astronomers view the universe, Astronomy Buff will amaze you. Tony is unique, off the wall, and just plain likeable.
And he’s full of practical advice too. He’ll teach you how to get started with the new telescope you got for Christmas. And show you why you don’t need high magnification to see stars light years away. Then there’s advice on how to get your light polluting neighbor to turn off his f&@king light. He’ll even share his telescope with you if you ask nicely.
Hurry and get a seat for the greatest show in the Milky Way Galaxy at Astronomy Buff!

Off the wall?! Off the wall? Harumph, I say. Harumph in the loudest possible manner. Oh sure, I may have two different color socks on right now (I’m not sure really, I haven’t looked down there in a while) and maybe, just maybe, I think it’s ok to wear a striped shirt with my plaid pants, but Off the wall? I never…
Really though, I’m so happy to have this chance. I promise to do the best I possibly can and to always make your visit to my blog worth your time. I know you could off somewhere on someone else’s blog, but you came to mine. I take that very seriously.
Welcome, Tony. It’s great to have you on board.
Welcome, Tony! I’ve always wanted to take up stargazing as a hobby. I’ll be a regular reader!
Welcome Tony…when we figure out how to live on Mars…I’ll be on that flight.
I wonder if MaryJo at FlyAway.com will have travel tips for us? :).
