b5 Music Bloggers Recap Top Concerts

As digital downloads and music piracy becomes more and more common and practiced, the options to truly connect with a band or artist are increasingly limited. I remember the sheer joy in picking up a new album. In the vinyl days, I felt as though I wasn’t only getting new music, but a new work of art as well. I would pin up my LP covers on my bedroom wall. I would read every line in the sleeve of my latest CD purchase. The journey of new music created a true connection and lasting memory.

In today’s age, we download music, listen to it and often delete it to make room for more music. The process has changed and it dilutes the connection. However, with this shift, artists are touring more and re-instilling the magic of making music. There is no substitute for great concert. Being able to watch your favorite band or musician belt out your favorite tracks is something special. Stumbling into a venue and discovering music live is just as inspiring.
