Applying to write for b5media

One of the great things about being a growing blog network is that people just want to join us…which is great, but what’s the best way is to go about it? Here’s a little advice on how we work that can help you if you are interested.

1. Group Vacancies
For time to time b5media does launch multiple blogs, particularly when looking at launching into new vertical marketplaces. Keep an eye out here at the b5media blog for these opportunities when they arise.

2. Casual Vacancies
From time to time writing opportunities arise across our existing blogs for new writers. Primarily b5media does offer these positions internally, however at other times we do advertise. At the time of writing you’ll find all the latest b5media casual vacancies open to everyone at the Problogger Jobs Board. Details as to whom you should contact for each position are available on each ad. Please contact the Channel Editor specified for the job in the ad.

3. Register of interest
We do regularly receive applications from bloggers who are interested in joining b5media. Of course, there aren’t nearly enough blogging positions to be able to offer everyone a position with b5media, however sometimes you just never know when it comes to timing. Most of our channel editors do keep a register of people who have previously expressed an interest of writing for b5media, so in the case that we do have vacancies arise, you could be contacted in relation to a position. Please note that generally we do not accept existing blogs into b5media, we are not a blog ring open for existing sites to join nor apply to. As a network we primarily create blogs, we don’t network existing sites.

On occasion though we do consider applications for existing blogs to join b5media, but only on a case by case basis, and where that site has outstanding traffic or influence within the blogosphere, where involving such a site would be mutually beneficial to both b5media, as well as the owner of the blog.
