Alzheimer’s Notes: Caregiving At Its Best

Our parents or the parent figures in our lives take care of us through the most trying times. Just ask me. My three-year-old was driving me up the wall yesterday!

What happens, though, when the situation is reversed and it becomes our parents who need us? If you’re Mary Emma Allen, you would not only rise to the challenge, you’d try to help others as well.

The newest blog in the Science and Health Channel is Alzheimer’s Notes, a blog that is “encouraging Alzheimer’s caregivers from someone who’s been there.” Mary Emma took care of both her aunt and mother when they developed Alzheimer’s disease. Knowing how much she longed for support, comfort, and information during that time, she hopes Alzheimer’s Notes will be a valuable resource for other caregivers of Alzheimer’s patients.

Knowing Mary Emma, I have no doubt that Alzheimer’s Notes will soon be a place where caregivers of all kinds can find a listening ear and reading eye.
