Greetings from the wonderful social experiment that is Amsterdam, Netherlands! This place is a total trip and it’s a joy to bring an American perspective from one of the most outrageous cities in the world.
Prior to living in Amsterdam, I lived in Tampa, FL, which I generally loathed. And prior to that, Melbourne, Australia, which I generally loved. Having lived in 4 different countries and visited 29, has certainly given me a broader perspective of this whacked out planet we call Earth.
Education wise, I went to the University of Central Florida and received a bachelors degree in history, minor in political science and worked on an MBA that I didn’t feel like completing. It was good to get some formal business education to balance the mostly liberal one I’d received previously.
Aside from holding an American passport, I also carry Canadian and Greek ones as well. I would like to officially change my name to Jason Bourne but my wife won’t let me. She’s otherwise pretty cool though.
I have a few hobbies but one of my favorites is sitting on a canal drinking Belgian beers. So cheers from the Lowlands!
