Thanks to the new hardware we brought online this week (nearly sorted all our niggly issues with it), we have some extra capacity. And instead of squandering that on hundreds of new blogs, we’ve decided to offer our bloggers free hosting for their personal blog.
We figured that if we can save them 10-15$/month in […]
Just our luck that 2 of the 3 founders got deathly ill on the same week. Sorry for the delay in getting to all of our Round 2′ers. We should be back on track by Monday!
Wow… Time flies when you’re busy as all let go! It’s already been a month, which blows my mind. It’s been a huge month for us. We beat every internal projection we had (often by up to 50%). Number of blogs. Number of bloggers. Traffic. Links. Income. “Events”. Every metric we thought to track, we […]
We’re just in the midst of finalizing server moves for all the sites and we’re having a few hiccups. I don’t think anything is down on the site end right now, but there are a few oddities we need to sort through today. Also, we’ll be balancing out the TribalFusion ads on a number of […]
For this week’s interview, we’re chatting with Kevin Humphrey!
Who is Kevin Humphrey?

How […]
Just a few housekeeping notes. First, we’re testing out some new ad units over the next few days, so feel free to let us know if things look weird, out of place or like there are too many ads. Ultimately we’re trying to find the right balance between some of the ad networks we’ve been […]
This post is mainly to thank every single one of our bloggers. Tim, Mike, Arieanna, Jacob, Erin, Ingrid, Kevin, Gilad, Jayvee, John and Jon. You guys absolutely rock.
When we started b5media, it was our goal to get about 250,000 pageviews in the first month, and to get about 300$ in income in the first month. […]
Congratulations to Arieanna whose Cooking Gadgets Blog is getting some pretty massive traffic today from MyYahoo. We’re not exactly sure where the traffic is coming from (referrals from MyYahoo just give a generic URL) but we’re not complaining and either is Arieanna.
We’ve finally managed to begin putting our blogger’s profile pages online. There’s only half a dozen or so so far, but as they finish their profiles, more and more will come online. This is part of our effort to heavily feature all of our bloggers.
Expect more such efforts as we continue moving forward!
We have now reviewed and responded to all initial applications that were received in the first week or so. You should have received one of 3 types of responses:
1. You’ve been shortlisted!
2. Application Review - but we don’t feel now is the time for this idea
3. Application Review - but we don’t feel this idea […]
